Aurelie Le Vern, a black-belt from Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu, has been enjoying a season of remarkable achievements, especially in Europe, the continent of her home country, France. Aurelie was the European champion in Paris, fighting in the Gi at the beginning of the season and secured her spot in the ADCC by winning a European trials. Now, this October, the athlete won double gold at the European No Gi Championship, an IBJJF competition that brought together the elite of grappling in Rome, Italy.
“When Tyrone and I did the studies, we realized that it was possible to fit in what I had worked on during the ADCC camp. I kept up the pace and didn’t relax, because I know how much I worked during this camp. So, the secret was consistency.”.
Aurelie Le Vern’s finishing style always attracts attention at big events
When she steps on the mat, Aurelie usually impresses with her non-complacent Jiu-Jitsu, a fighting style that always progresses in search of the submission, a method that puts the athlete in the spotlight. After her title in Rome, she will not rest since she was invited to fight at ADXC 7, in Rio de Janeiro, in a match against Ana Carolina Vieira, the current ADCC champion. This is yet another unique opportunity for the competitor to display her game worldwide.
“My game is based on what we believe in at Six Blades, always fighting forward until the finish. We even have a slogan for that: ‘Flow – Pressure – Finish’. Tyrone is also always there, encouraging me, to get me out of my comfort zone.”.
