Aurélie Le Vern is more than ready to fight for gold at the ADCC main event, which takes place next month at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The French athlete is in the lead role of a good season throughout the year. In early 2024, she won a Gi title fighting at home at the IBJJF Euros in Paris, and soon after won the ADCC Trials, also in Europe.

To participate in the most traditional grappling tournament in the world, Aurelie said in an interview with the VF Comunica team that the preparation is being carried out with excellence.

I’m working hard and doing everything I can: mentally, wrestling, grappling, strength training, strict diet, sleep and rest. I’m in a good place. So, I think anything can happen, I’ll be ready to go.”.

In the -65 kg division, Aurélie will face stars of female grappling

In the division that Aurélie Le Vern is in, there are awesome athletes such as Ana Carolina Vieira, Helena Crevar, Brianna Ste-Marie and Bia Mesquita, who already has an ADCC world title in her career. If she has the opportunity to fight Helena again, a young phenomenon from New Wave, Aurelie will have a opportunity for a rematch. The two faced each other at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 7 and Crevar won by decision.

“I’m in a division with simply the best athletes in the world. I intend to offer more personality with fighting strategy. I’ve studied my opponents and I don’t think anything can surprise me. I’m already working on my daily training with everything that can happen there.”.

ADCC vs. CJI: athlete mentions the money but prefers to build a legacy in the most solid event

Anxious to perform at the ADCC, Aurélie Le Vern was one of the athletes who watched several competitors go to the Craig Jones Invitational, an event organized by the B-Team black-belt to compete with the oldest tournament. When talking about the clash between the organizations, Aurélie said that fighting at the ADCC will always be an opportunity to enhance any career and build a legacy.

“I think it’s great to bring money to the sport. I’m also working hard. The truth is that the ADCC is much better structured and hard work always pays off. Mo Jassim is putting on a real show for us and being able to be a part of it, qualifying, is very rewarding for my career. In the position I occupy, I’m still building my legacy, especially in the world of No Gi. The CJI is new and still needs to think about longevity to be truly beneficial to Jiu-Jitsu. The ADCC also has prizes for everyone and the athletes’ travel is 100% guaranteed. Not to mention the ADCC Youth, which will be a huge show for the new generation.”.
