Where the Worlds are held
The first edition took place in February 1996 at Tijuca Tênis Clube in Rio de Janeiro. The tournament stayed in Brazil until 2006 and has been held in California since 2007. The Worlds are one of the four tournaments of the Jiu-Jitsu Grand Slam, along with the Europeans, the Pan and the Brazilian Nationals.
This count uses the official results and leaves out titles later stripped for doping.
