Felipe Souza delivered a standout performance at the South Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship, held on February 4–5, reinforcing his strength in the IBJJF Master 3 division. Competing in the super heavyweight category, the black belt secured the gold medal after a solid run through the bracket to the final.

In the open class, Felipe once again reached the final and earned a silver medal, in another memorable moment as he shared the podium with his brother, Diogo Oliveira. As in previous competitions, the two chose to close out the division, highlighting the partnership they’ve built both on and off the mats.

“It was an important tournament. I had good matches and made it to the finals. And being able to share that with my brother is always special, we live this together every day,” Felipe said.

Beyond the South Brazilian Championship, the athlete also pointed to his performance at the Curitiba Open on March 12, where the same scenario played out: silver in the super heavyweight division and gold in the open class, once again with a sibling closeout in the final.

With consistent results and frequent podium finishes, Felipe continues to establish himself as one of the top names in his division, which is becoming increasingly competitive within the IBJJF circuit.
