Ingridd Alves

Ingridd Alves de Sousa was born on January 29, 1995, in Teresina, Brazil. She started Jiu-Jitsu in late 2014, at the gym of a military club in the city, and trained with coach Edilson Albuquerque, who gave her her black belt. At brown belt she won the 2019 South Americans and the 2020 Europeans.

In early 2021 she moved to São Paulo to train at Guigo Jiu-Jitsu. That year she won the World Pro in Abu Dhabi, a title she repeated in 2023, and the IBJJF South Americans, in her weight class and the open class. She later competed for Dream Art and now represents Agora Jiu-Jitsu, in Jundiaí, in the state of São Paulo.

At the IBJJF Grand Slam tournaments, she won Pans in 2024 and Europeans in 2025, at medium-heavyweight. At Worlds she has two bronze medals, in 2022 and 2024, and two silvers: she lost the 2025 and 2026 finals to Thamara Ferreira.

“Since I’m already a two-time World Pro champion at black belt, winning the world title in the IBJJF too means that, without question, I’ve reached the top of the sport.”

In 2026 she was runner-up at Europeans, the Brazilian Nationals and Worlds. She won the ADCC South American Trials at over 65 kg (143 lb), in Rio de Janeiro in March, and the No-Gi Brazilian Nationals at heavyweight in June. In September, at the Master Worlds, she won Master 1 at medium-heavyweight and in the open class.

At The Crown on November 8, she moves up two weight classes to compete at super-heavyweight.
