Rodolfo Vieira signs with ACBJJ
A five-time world champion and ADCC champion, the Brazilian was announced by the league 12 days after winning in the UFC; the organization’s next event is in Rio on October 25

Rodolfo Vieira is back in professional jiu-jitsu. ACBJJ announced this Thursday, October 8, the signing of the Rio de Janeiro native, a five-time black belt world champion and ADCC champion. The league posted the welcome art on social media, in a joint post with the athlete.
The announcement comes 12 days after his latest MMA fight. On September 26, Vieira beat Poland’s Robert Bryczek by unanimous decision in the UFC, 30-27 on all three scorecards. In the octagon since 2019, he is 7-5 in the promotion. Overall, he has 12 wins in 17 fights, nine of them by submission.
No date for his debut yet
ACBJJ has not said when or against whom his first match will be. The league’s next event is ACBJJ 23, set for October 25 at Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Vieira’s hometown. Before that, from October 16 to 20, the organization holds its Pan American Championship and Pan American Super Cup in Brazil.
Vieira is the second MMA name announced by the league in recent days. Before him, ACBJJ welcomed Edson Barboza.
A long history with ACB
This is the second time Vieira has signed with the organization. In December 2017, he joined ACB to compete in jiu-jitsu and MMA, and he had three MMA fights under the brand between 2018 and 2019, all first-round wins, before moving to the UFC.
The Black Belt Hunter
A Julio Cesar Pereira black belt from GF Team, Vieira dominated competitive jiu-jitsu in the first half of the last decade. He won the World Championship in his weight class from 2011 to 2014, took the open class at Worlds in 2011, collected titles at the World Pro in Abu Dhabi and won ADCC in 2015 at under 99 kg.
After that he turned his focus to MMA, but he never left grappling behind. In 2024, he submitted Derek Brunson in the main event of ADXC 7.
