Lukas Freitas targets gold at the PBJJF Worlds
The Manaus-born Inspirit Jiu-Jitsu Academy black belt is confirmed for the October 24 tournament in Maryland, which has more than R$350,000 in prize money

Lukas Freitas already has his next goal set. The Inspirit Jiu-Jitsu Academy black belt is confirmed for the PBJJF World Championship, set for October 24 at APGFCU Arena in Bel Air, Maryland, and he is going after the gold medal.
A Manaus native and a student of coach Rodrigo Freitas, he is in his first full season as a black belt. His year included podiums between brown and black belt and appearances on some of the biggest stages on the calendar: he took bronze at Jiu-Jitsu CON, competed at the first UFC BJJ Open in Las Vegas and, last weekend, reached the light-featherweight quarterfinals at the IBJJF Pan No-Gi.
Among the results he lists on his record are gold at the Miami Grand Slam, the World Pro title and two bronze medals at the European Championship.
