The substance
Clomiphene is a hormone and metabolic modulator, banned at all times under the World Anti-Doping Code and the protocol of USADA, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, applied to the 2016 Worlds.
The sanction
The sanction was announced on March 27, 2017. The two-year suspension counted from June 5, 2016, the day the sample was collected. His results since June 1, 2016, the day Worlds began, were disqualified, with forfeiture of medals, points and prizes. The IBJJF agreed to impose the sanction.
