Pawel Jaworski beats Wallisson Oliveira, wins the absolute at the 2026 Pan No-Gi and takes double gold
The 22-year-old from Poland won seven matches in two days in New Jersey, four in the absolute and three at medium-heavy, and keeps chasing the IBJJF No-Gi Grand Slam

Pawel Jaworski is the absolute champion of the 2026 Pan No-Gi. This Sunday (October 4) in Secaucus, New Jersey, the Polish athlete from Academia Gorila beat Wallisson Oliveira (Campeão United) in the final of the absolute, the open division for athletes of all sizes. A few hours earlier he had won the medium-heavy title, so he leaves the tournament with double gold. Jaworski is 22 and is the 2026 ADCC champion. ADCC is the biggest no-gi grappling event in the world, and no-gi is Jiu-Jitsu without the gi, the traditional uniform. Now he adds one more major no-gi title from the IBJJF, the sport’s main federation.
Seven wins in two days
His run started on Saturday (October 3) in an absolute bracket with 20 athletes. Jaworski beat Calvin Tacey (Detroit Jiu-Jitsu Syndicate), Sean Goolsby and, in the semifinal, Luuk van Nieuwamerongen (NS Brotherhood). He won his second match of the day with a heel hook, a submission that attacks the leg.
On Sunday, he entered the medium-heavy bracket in the quarterfinals. He beat Luan Perote, submitted Natan Chueng (Unity) in the semifinal and got another submission in the final, against David Garmo (Detroit Jiu-Jitsu Syndicate). With the weight class gold secured, he returned to the mat at the end of the day and beat Wallisson Oliveira in the absolute final.
Wallisson leaves with gold and silver
His opponent in the final was also a weight class champion. On Saturday, Wallisson Oliveira beat Austin Oranday (Alliance), David Garmo and Jett Thompson in the absolute, including an armlock from the mount. On Sunday, he beat Felipe Lacerda (Nova União) and Joab Câmara (Triunfo), and then beat Oranday again, this time in the heavyweight final. The Campeão United athlete leaves New Jersey with the heavyweight gold and the absolute silver.
The Grand Slam chase
The title keeps Jaworski in the race for the IBJJF No-Gi Grand Slam, which is made up of four tournaments: the World, the Brasileiro, the Pan and the European. According to the federation, he won his weight class at the 2025 World No-Gi and took double gold at the 2026 Brasileiro No-Gi. At last year’s Pan No-Gi, he won his weight class and took bronze in the absolute.
Jaworski is coached by Marcin Polczyk and is number 1 in the IBJJF no-gi ranking. The next tournament of the series is the European No-Gi, from October 28 to November 1 in Rome.
