Matheus Vetoraci moves up to take on Alexander Sak
Vetoraci moves up a division and calls it a privilege, while Sak is taking it one match at a time

Matheus Vetoraci and Alexander Sak meet in the first round of the ultra heavyweight division at The Crown 2026 this Sunday, November 8, at the Pyramid in Long Beach, California. Vetoraci is moving up a weight class for the event.
“I think it will be a very intense matchup. Both of us like to push a hard pace and speed the match up, so I think we’ll have a great fight,” Vetoraci told VF Comunica. “Fighting in this weight class was never a problem for me. On the contrary, I see the chance to face the biggest athletes in the world as a privilege and extra motivation.”
“At this level, every opponent is dangerous, and Matheus is no exception. I respect his skills, but my focus is on my own game and what I bring to the mats. The key will be controlling the pace, imposing my positions, and staying one step ahead. I’ve worked hard for this opportunity, and I’m coming to The Crown with one goal: to win. One match at a time. First, Matheus. Then, the semifinals,” Sak said.
The winner faces Erich Munis or Fran Papasidero in the semifinals, according to the Crown 2026 brackets.
