Marcio De Deus: “It is the result of a lot of dedication and hard work”
Marcio De Deus is a full-time Jiu-Jitsu employee, but his tasks are not limited to just setting up a good training session and teaching classes. His calling is something much greater, which he only discovered as time kept going.
From a small social project, Marcio developed skills to turn the Marcio de Deus Team, also known as TMD, into a powerhouse.
His most dedicated students, today, are floating in the best opportunities that a serious work can offer. Victor Lima and Luciano Alex are professors in the United States, while Gabi Pessanha owns the rank of the athlete to be beaten in Jiu-Jitsu, after winning four IBJJF world titles, at weight and open class.
Marcio’s story brings several chapters of overcoming challenges, but one stands out for the size of the evolution in number. When he used to travel to another state, Marcio had just over 15 students with him. But now, for the biggest championship in Brazil, the CBJJ Brazilian Nationals, the professor will take 100 athletes, including children and adults, from Cidade de Deus to Barueri, São Paulo, where the tournament will take place. The championship starts on the 29th of April.
“I managed to achieve a goal, now we’re going to have 108 students at the Brazilian Nartionals Championship, in São Paulo. It is the result of a lot of dedication, hard work and faith in God! ”, celebrates Márcio.
Marcio is the example that with persistence, study and practice, he was able to achieve great results, inside and outside the mats.
