Jun Yong Cho has a plan to upset Bisnaga at The Crown
The Wire Jiu-Jitsu athlete respects the 2025 World Champion and wants to fight where he is most comfortable

Jun Yong Cho draws one of the featherweight favorites in his first match at The Crown 2026 this Sunday, November 8, at the Pyramid in Long Beach, California: João “Bisnaga” Mendes, the 2025 featherweight World Champion.
“João is a very good competitor with a lot of experience on the international stage, so I have a lot of respect for him. I expect a tough and exciting match. For me, the key is to stay calm, impose my pace, and make the fight happen where I’m most comfortable. I’ve prepared well, and I’m confident in my game. I’ll focus on executing my strategy one step at a time and doing everything I can to advance to the semifinals,” Cho told VF Comunica.
The winner faces Rerisson Gabriel or Mateo Cardona in the semifinals, according to the Crown 2026 brackets.
