Kayron Albert, from Gracie Barra, spoke exclusively to VF Comunica about his match against Victor “Pelé” at the Turris Invitational. The event is scheduled for November 14 at the Upper Arena, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Albert said he sees the match as a chance to make the fans leave the event with his name in their minds. He said he wants to show his aggressive style, always moving forward and looking for real jiu-jitsu.

How he wants to be remembered

The young athlete also made clear how he wants people to talk about him after the match. He said he wants them to say that Kayron fights moving forward and does not stall. In jiu-jitsu, to stall means to hold the opponent and slow the match down without trying to attack.

Who is Kayron Albert

Albert is 17 years old and a blue belt from Gracie Barra, according to his profile on the AJP website. The blue belt is the second belt in jiu-jitsu, after white. His match against Victor “Pelé” da Silva will be in the gi, the traditional kimono.
