FJJEMG team ranking puts academies in a race for R$ 17,000 in 2026
Besides the individual ranking for athletes, academies from all over the state compete in three team rankings during the season

The team ranking of the FJJEMG puts academies in a race for R$ 17,000 in 2026. The FJJEMG is the jiu-jitsu federation of the state of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. Besides the individual ranking for athletes, academies from all over the state compete in three team rankings during the season: General, Capital and Interior.
How the General Ranking works
The General Team Ranking adds up the results of the eight stages of the Minas Gerais state championship and of the Minas Opens. At the end of the season, the five best academies get a prize:
- 1st place: R$ 5,000
- 2nd place: R$ 3,000
- 3rd place: R$ 1,500
- 4th place: R$ 1,000
- 5th place: R$ 500
Together, the General, Capital and Interior rankings give R$ 17,000 to the teams in 2026.
CT Thomaz Abreu leads the race
In the race for the 2026 state team title, the academy CT Thomaz Abreu is in front. It also won the sixth stage of the state championship and kept first place in the General Ranking. With the season close to the end, each result counts even more.
For the teams that still want to move up, each athlete, each medal and each stage can make a difference in the race for first place.
