Who is Helena Crevar

Helena Crevar is from Las Vegas and started training as a child. At 15 she moved to Austin, Texas, to train with John Danaher, who promoted her to black belt in June 2025, ten years after she started jiu-jitsu. In IBJJF registrations she competed for Alliance and, since late 2025, for Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu.

She was already winning her division and the absolute at colored belts. As a juvenile blue belt in 2023 she won the Worlds, the Pans and the No-Gi Worlds, all with double gold. Still a teenager in 2024, she won the ADCC West Coast trials and reached the over 65 kg final in Las Vegas, where she took silver and became the youngest medalist in the tournament’s history. That same year she won Polaris’s inaugural lightweight belt.

In 2025 the titles kept coming: the WNO featherweight belt, with a win over Elisabeth Clay, and the women’s Grand Prix at Craig Jones Invitational 2, which paid $100,000 to the champion. She beat Adele Fornarino by decision in the semifinal and submitted Sarah Galvão with an Aoki lock in the third round of the final. In the gi she won the Worlds and the Pans at brown belt and, in no-gi, already at black belt, she won the No-Gi Worlds at medium heavyweight. She signed with ONE Championship in July and is unbeaten there, with a 100-second submission in her debut and a unanimous decision win over Paige Ivette Clymer in July 2026.

In September 2026 in Kraków she made ADCC history. She won all three matches by submission, the last one over Anabel Lopez, and at 19 became the youngest champion in the tournament’s history, a mark that belonged to Kyra Gracie. Three weeks later she won super heavyweight at the No-Gi Pans with a foot lock in about 20 seconds in the final.

Her next target is the ONE belt. After beating Clymer she told the promotion she wants “to become a ONE Championship World Champion,” and added: “I never underestimate my opponents, so I expected her to be as strong as possible.”
