Who is Martyna Kapuścińska
Martyna Kapuścińska made her name on the IBJJF no-gi circuit. Her first big result came at blue belt, with featherweight silver at the 2022 Europeans, when she competed for CheckMat.
At brown belt, now with ZR Team, she took bronze in both her weight class and the open class at the 2024 No-Gi Worlds. The next year, representing Academia Gorila, she won the open class at the No-Gi Europeans and took double gold at the No-Gi Worlds, at medium-heavyweight and in the open class, beating Greta Notaro in both finals.
Her black belt debut came at the 2026 Brazilian No-Gi Nationals in Rio de Janeiro: gold at medium-heavyweight and bronze in the open class, with her only loss of the weekend to Elisabeth Clay. Months later she did it again at the No-Gi Pans, winning medium-heavyweight and taking bronze in the open class.
