The team of the Mendes brothers won four gold medals at blue, purple and brown belt and finished ahead of Gracie Barra and Alliance in the men’s adult division
AOJ (Art of Jiu Jitsu) is the men’s adult team champion of the IBJJF Pan No-Gi 2026. Gracie Barra finished second and Alliance finished third. The IBJJF announced the team results on Sunday, October 4, in Secaucus, New Jersey.
In IBJJF tournaments, each medal gives points to the athlete’s team. The team with the most points wins the team title.
AOJ won the title without a gold medal at black belt. According to the official brackets, the team’s four men’s adult champions came from the colored belts: Graham Nascimento (blue belt, featherweight), Christian de La Fuente (purple belt, roosterweight), Corbin Ratheau-Bishop (purple belt, light-featherweight) and Alexander Osorio Mendez (brown belt, roosterweight).
The silver medals also helped
AOJ also had four second places in the men’s adult division. At black belt, Steven Gomez took silver at featherweight after he lost the final to Emilio Hernandez (Zenith BJJ). Guilherme Fernandes took silver at lightweight after the final against Pierre-Olivier Leclerc (Tri-Star).
At blue belt, Miles Putman reached two finals, at medium-heavyweight and in the open class. He lost both to Lorenzo Tarouco, from Alliance, who won eight matches in the tournament.
