The 2026 Pan No-Gi may end with a father and his daughter on top of the podium on the same day. The Pan No-Gi is one of the biggest tournaments of the year for Jiu-Jitsu without the gi, the traditional uniform, and it is run by the IBJJF, the sport’s main federation. This Sunday (October 4) in Secaucus, New Jersey, Sarah Galvão fights in two black belt finals: her weight class, the middleweight, and the absolute, the open division for athletes of all sizes. Her father, André Galvão, fights for the super-heavy title. Both compete for the Atos team, and both won every match they had in the tournament. All times below are Eastern Time (ET). They come from the official bracket and have been changing during the day.

Sarah in two finals

Sarah is the first to step on the mat. At 3:24 PM she faces Nadia Frankland (Corvus) for the middleweight gold. It is a rematch of Saturday’s absolute semifinal, which Sarah won. At the end of the day, at 6:00 PM, she returns for the absolute final against Maria Vitória Ruffatto-Gilpin (Canby Jiu-Jitsu). Sarah is an ADCC silver medalist. ADCC is the biggest no-gi grappling event in the world. On Saturday she won three matches in the absolute, the first two by submission, and beat Julia Maele (OXY) at middleweight.

André is back at 44

Between his daughter’s two finals, at 5:36 PM, André fights his own. He is 44 and this is his first tournament since ADCC 2022. In the adult division, he beat Amr Ghoneim, Jean Luca Maltese (Alliance) and Sergio Vilas (Team Lloyd Irvin). His opponent in the super-heavy final is Natã Tenca, his student at Atos.
