Black belt Ulpiano Malachias is one of the most prosperous entrepreneurs in the Jiu-Jitsu community and has become one of Gracie Barra’s great leaders. Ulpiano currently owns the GB Westchase and River Oaks schools in Texas and was one of those responsible for paving the way for Gracie Barra in the American state.
The miner was a victorious competitor, but he also became a star in business. He began this phase of his life on the advice of Gracie Barra idols Carlinhos Gracie and Vinicius Draculino. In this way, Ulpiano led the first Gracie Barra in the franchise system, GB Santa Ana.
The black belt is also a renowned professor and has several students on the rise in Jiu-Jitsu. Among them is Pedro Marinho, the current WNO middleweight champion.
Ulpiano highlights Pedro Marinho’s energy
Pedro will put his title on the line at WNO 21, scheduled for November 30 in Texas. The Gracie Barra athlete will face Rafael Lovato in one of the most eagerly awaited fights of the event.
In an interview with VF Comunica, Ulpiano Malachias guaranteed that Pedro is focused on delivering an imposing performance.
“The fans can expect a mature Pedro, trained and focused on proving that he is the best light heavyweight in the world. They can expect Pedro full of new positions and focused on finishing, as always,” said Ulpiano.
The professor has followed Pedro Marinho’s evolution since he was a purple belt and has been instrumental in the WNO champion’s development. Ulpiano knows Pedro’s game like few others and highlighted his student’s difference from other athletes.
“It’s his desire to win and the way he goes about his daily life, many people dream of becoming world champion. But he wants to be the best in the world and make history. I think that sets him apart from the rest, not just in terms of weight, but as a whole,” said Ulpiano.
