Ninja Pinto, black-belt leader of Ninja Stars International was runner-up at the Pans, in the master 3 division, featherweight, after a setback in his bracket commitments. In the semifinal, Ninja suffered a concussion after hitting his head during the fight, an unforeseen event that had its consequences, but giving up was not one of them.
“I had a great performance at the Pans, but I was surprised with a terrible concussion after hitting my head with my opponent Abel Thames Pereira, from Fabin Rosa. I vomited after the fight and entered the final very disoriented and I lost to Carlos Eduardo, from the A-Force team.”, he detailed.
Ninja Pinto wants to get ranking points to fight at the Worlds
The incident, which resulted in a visit to the hospital and an absence from training for a period of two weeks, made the professor dedicate himself more to classes and to rest, which is necessary for recovery. “I’m focusing on competing in some Opens to guarantee points for the Worlds, such as the Oklahoma Open, at the end of April.”
Competing in the adult division is not an unknown activity for Ninja, who enters the division and still delivers good results among younger athletes. In the season’s Indianapolis Open competition, with Gi, Ninja managed to take first place in the division reserved for competitors over 18 years old, a memorable feat.
“I live my purpose. So, when we live for this there is no lack of time or tiredness. The passion for what I do allows me to dedicate myself to the fullest and involve people who are on the same place. This is the secret to great project management. Find people who are on the same place as you and everything will happen organically and naturally.”, he affirmed in an interview with VF Comunica.
Testing knowledge in practice is one of the black-belt’s favorite activities
Ninja’s 100% dedicated work is not just restricted to the mats. Involved in business and management, the black-belt is a voracious reader of content that expands his knowledge in the area. “I study a lot and spend my free time reading books and talking to business mentors. I like to test everything I learn to see if it really works. In this way, notions of management and entrepreneurship are developed.”.
When it comes to performing, Ninja Pinto, as a well-informed athlete, professor and manager, understands that the internet, with good use of it, is an important ally as a platform for self-promotion.
“Today, with the internet, there are millions of ways to make money. Athletes can take advantage of social media to reach as many customers as possible. They can sell products or teachings. If you want to teach something, there will always be someone interested in learning. I use the internet to reach people who seek to improve their lives through martial arts.”, he explained, always committed to developing well-done media work.
