Mourece Ramirez continued his great moment on the mats and won another significant brown belt title. Marcio André’s pupil became champion of the Grand Slam Miami, held last weekend in Florida. Mourece was dominant at featherweight (-62kg) and reached the top of the podium after winning three fights.

Mourece has a distinctive style. He has a dangerous guard and becomes unstoppable when he speeds up the pace of the fight. In an interview with VF Comunica, Mourece Ramirez commented on his rise in the championships and pointed out the area in which he has improved the most.

“I thoroughly review my performance after each match. I believe there is always room for improvement, so I analyze my matches to identify both strengths and areas where I can enhance my skills. One significant improvement in my game has been my ability to apply pressure and control the pace of the match. However, I recognize the need to work on my passing techniques to secure better results in future tournaments”, said Mourece.

The young prodigy had an arduous path to the title and overcame high-level opponents to claim first place. He stressed the importance of Marcio André in building his game and highlighted the level of his competitors.

“Winning the championship was a challenging feat. Each of my opponents was a tough competitor, and the path to victory required a lot of hard work, dedication, and strategic planning. Having Professor Marcio André in my corner was invaluable. His guidance and coaching provided me with the confidence I needed to make the best decisions during my matches. I am immensely grateful for his support”, told the brown belt.

The representative of the Marcio André Academy is also dedicated to no-gi and will spare no effort to capture the gold medal in the main competitions. Mou listed his upcoming engagements and expressed his desire to do a grappling match.

“My immediate focus is on the No Gi Pans next week and the No Gi Worlds. These are the two tournaments I’m dedicated to preparing for. Additionally, I’m open to taking on big super fights or other significant challenges if the opportunity arises. Let’s see what the future holds”, added Mou.
