Marcio André confirmed his return to competition on Tuesday. Marcio will be in action at the Grand Slam Miami and will be competing in the -77kg division. The carioca has a winning record in the Federation and was World Pro champion from blue to black belt.

Marcio returned with a bang to the competitive circuit in 2023 and Marcinho is expected to deliver a great performance at the AJP tournament. The level of the bracket is insane and the category is going to be on fire.  Stars of the caliber of Luiz Paulo, Natan Chueng and Alexandre Robinho are also confirmed in the bracket and promise electrifying duels.

Despite being only 28 years old, Marcio is a seasoned competitor and has been tested in the elite of Jiu-Jitsu for almost a decade. He has already faced a number of the sport’s stars and has proven that he belongs in the top echelon of the sport.

Marcinho has a plastic game and is one of those fighters who believes in victory until the last second. The carioca has a firm base and usually frustrates anyone who tries to sweep him. From the bottom, Marcio is a formidable guard and can complicate any opponent in his category.

Marcio André celebrated his return to AJP competitions on social media.

“I can’t wait to fight and show my daily progress,” Marcio enthused.

The tournament will take place in Florida on September 16 and 17. Don’t miss it!
