Erberth Santos was arrested on Thursday in Boituva, in the interior of São Paulo, after being accused of committing a series of rapes and robberies in several cities in Mato Grosso do Sul. As well as Erberth, André Pessoa was also arrested for taking part in the crimes. The information was published by g1.
The investigations indicate that Erberth and André raped four women. However, according to the Mato Grosso do Sul Shock Battalion, the number of victims could be even higher. With the suspects, 26 cell phones, firearms and knives were seized.
The pair passed through Campo Grande, Aquidauana, Miranda, Corumbá and Três Lagoas, where they committed the crimes. According to the Shock Battalion, they confessed to the crimes and allegedly assaulted, tied up and threatened the victims in order to sexually abuse them.
Erberth Santos is 29 years old and has been a victorious champion throughout his troubled Jiu-Jitsu career. Erberth had already been arrested five times in Boa Vista, Roraima, during his teenage years for committing numerous robberies in the city.
Erberth and André were in the interior of São Paulo and will continue to be held in the city of Três Lagoas (MS).
