Bibiano Fernandes has a career that needs no comment in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, but he has also proven to be a star in the business world. Last Saturday, October 14, Bibiano opened his new gym, Flash Academy Martial Arts, in Langley, Canada.

Sports legends such as Renzo Gracie, Demetrious Johnson and Lucas Pinheiro were all present at the opening of Bibiano’s academy. The meeting brought together a legion of fans and friends who took part in a day that will go down in the history of the “King of Asia”.

In an interview with VF Comunica, Bibiano Fernandes described the feeling of welcoming Jiu-Jitsu and MMA stars to his academy.

“It was great to welcome stars like Renzo Gracie, Demetrious Johnson and Lucas Pinheiro. They showed how much affection they have for me, so it was an honor to welcome Master Renzo Gracie to my academy. It was one of the few gym opening ceremonies with so many stars. I was very happy with all their support and that of everyone who was present on the day,” said Bibiano.

Bibiano said he wasn’t surprised by the full house, but confessed that he didn’t expect such affection and support from the public.

“I wasn’t surprised by the number of people there, but by the number of people who have helped me on this new path I’m following. The crowd was very supportive, and the Canadian press came on the opening day. So I had a positive and surprising response,” said the One athlete.

Bibiano Fernandes praises Jiu-Jitsu

Bibiano stressed that his mission is to use Jiu-Jitsu as a tool to transform lives and train champions.

“Jiu-Jitsu is a sport that saves and helps. So my goal is to continue helping people who need direction through Jiu-Jitsu. In addition, I intend to form a team of champions in the future. My aim is to teach MMA with a Jiu-Jitsu perspective,” said the businessman.

A three-time Jiu-Jitsu world champion at black belt, Bibiano has faced opponents of all stripes and explored unknown terrain. Now as a gym manager, he guarantees that he is willing to venture out and highlights Renzo’s support.

“I’m on a new road, but I have Renzo by my side. He’s a great entrepreneur and always helps me with guidance, he’s one of the people I can count on. We have a lot of mutual respect for each other and other people will come along to help me on this path. I feel happy, but I see it as a new challenge for me to evolve as an entrepreneur and businessman,” concluded Bibiano.
